Fresh Bread Donated Every Week
Each week, COBS Bread Oshawa North continues to donate bread and baked goods to DAO Market. Our volunteers collect these donations so they can be made available to individuals and families accessing food support in Durham Region.
COBS Bread Oshawa North began supporting our food program when it operated as DAO Pantry, and that weekly support has continued as the program evolved into DAO Market in 2026.
Supporting DAO Market
DAO Market is Durham Region’s only 2SLGBTQIA+ food bank and is open to anyone in need. Working with Feed the Need in Durham, the Market uses a choice-based model that gives community members more opportunity to select food that works for their household.
Regular community donations like those from COBS Bread Oshawa North help increase the variety available to people shopping at the Market. Redirecting safe, usable surplus food can also help keep good food from going to waste.
