This series aims to explore the various aspects of gender equality within the 2SLGBTQI+ community, shedding light on the challenges, advancements, and ways to support and advocate for equality.
Gender equality means that all people, regardless of their gender, have the same rights, responsibilities, and opportunities. It involves addressing and dismantling the systemic barriers and prejudices that have historically marginalized and oppressed certain gender identities, particularly within the 2SLGBTQI+ community.
For many in the 2SLGBTQI+ community, gender identity and sexual orientation are interconnected aspects of their identity. Understanding this intersection is crucial in promoting gender equality, as it highlights the unique challenges faced by individuals who may experience discrimination based on both their gender and sexual orientation.
