Making a Difference: DAO Pantry Serves Durham's 2SLGBTQIA+ Community in 2024

Every Friday afternoon at DAO Pantry, we embark on a mission to transform food security for Durham Region's 2SLGBTQIA+ community. During these crucial two hours each week, we do more than simply distribute food; we cultivate a nurturing and inclusive environment that transcends the traditional concept of a food bank. Our space is designed to be a sanctuary where every individual, regardless of their background or circumstances, feels a genuine sense of belonging and acceptance. Here, community members can connect, share experiences, and find support, knowing they are part of a larger, caring community that values their presence and contributions.
